The proposed scheme involves the demolition of the existing garages and construction of 39 residential apartments, split across 3 identical blocks. The development includes a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

etch have provided early input to inform the development of the architectural layouts and proposals. Passivhaus Classic certification is being targeted which has driven design decisions including the use of exhaust air heat pumps (EAHP) within individual apartments. These are incorporated within the mechanical ventilation systems such that the unit can provide mechanical supply and extract ventilation with heat recovery, temper the supply air using the heat pump to heat or cool the apartment and utilise the residual heat to generate domestic hot water within an integral cylinder.
